Some one-click suppliers on GOGETTERS screen every webshop before they agree to a partnership. This means you need approval before you can start selling their products. See Supplier types explained. Instead of activating them directly, you submit a request and the supplier decides whether to accept you as a reseller.
Submit a request
Go to Suppliers (Shopify app) or Browse suppliers (portal) and open the supplier.
Click Request. Note the privacy notice next to the button: "If you request to work with this supplier, we will share your phone number and email address with the supplier". The supplier may use these details to contact you about your request.
Your request is sent to the supplier. The supplier reviews your webshop and approves or denies the request.
Follow the status of your request
On the supplier's page you see a status banner:
"Your request to work with this supplier is pending." - the supplier has not decided yet.
"Your request to work with this supplier is approved." - you are in! You can now import and sell the supplier's products.
"Your request to work with this supplier is denied." - the supplier declined. See the tips below and contact our support if you want to know more.
While your request is pending, the supplier's products show "Awaiting supplier approval." and the Add to import list button is disabled.
Approval normally takes up to one week. If you have not heard anything after one week, email [email protected].
Tips to get accepted
As a general guideline, your webshop must be live and look well cared for (and not be hidden behind a password) before suppliers approve you. Suppliers with extra screening want to see a serious, professional webshop. Before you submit a request, make sure:
Your website is live and password-free. No password page, no "Under Construction" pages - visitors must be able to view products and collections instantly.
Your webshop looks professional and well organized. Use a clean, structured design, clear categories and logical navigation, avoid spelling and grammar mistakes, and add an About Us page, contact details and terms & conditions.
Your collections are filled with relevant products. An empty webshop appears unprofessional. Make sure your categories align with the supplier you want to connect with and there are enough products listed.
Your webshop matches the supplier's brand. Your offering should match the supplier's products, and you should not sell products that conflict with the supplier's image.
You are transparent and reliable. Fill in your business information, offer accessible customer service (email address and/or phone number), and display your shipping and return policies clearly.
Good to know
If you deactivate an approved supplier, your approval does not carry over: "You need to restart the approval process." when you want to work with the supplier again. See Deactivate a supplier.
