Track & trace

How tracking numbers are sent back to your shop automatically, and how to add track & trace manually for suppliers that do not provide it.

As soon as a supplier ships an order, the tracking information flows back through GOGETTERS to your webshop, so your customer receives a shipping confirmation with track & trace from your own shop. This article explains the automatic flow and how to add tracking manually when needed.

Automatic track & trace

  • When the supplier fulfils the order, GOGETTERS receives the tracking number and adds it to the order in your shop. The order is then set to fulfilled in your shop.

  • This is controlled by the Auto fulfilment setting on the supplier's Settings page (section Automation): "If this is set, tracking numbers will be send automatically to your shop when an order is fulfilled."

  • On the Orders page, the tracking number appears in the Track & Trace column. For some carriers it is shown as a clickable link.

Good to know: track & trace codes are also sent to your shop on the GOGETTERS Free plan.

Add track & trace manually

Some suppliers do not send tracking information automatically. For orders from these suppliers, the Orders page shows an Add track & trace button so you can enter it yourself once the supplier gives you the tracking details.

  1. Go to Orders and click Add track & trace on the order.

  2. A window opens with one row per order line (product). For each line, choose the carrier in the Tracking company field. Available options are: DHL eCommerce, DHL Express, DHL Parcel NL, DPD, DPD Local, DPD UK, GLS, PostNL, TNT, UPS and URL.

  3. Enter the tracking number in the Tracking number field.

  4. Choose URL as tracking company if you only have a full tracking link; in that case paste the complete link in the Tracking number field.

  5. Click Save.

What happens after saving

  • The tracking value is stored in the format carrier:number (for example PostNL:3S...), or as the URL itself when you selected URL.

  • The button label changes to Add track & trace (pending) while the tracking is being processed in the background and sent to your shop; saved lines are locked against changes.

  • Once processed, the order is fulfilled in your shop with the tracking information attached.
