Prestashop stores connect to GOGETTERS through the GOGETTERS module. The module links your shop to the GOGETTERS portal, where you manage suppliers, products and orders. Prestashop has one extra setup step compared to other platforms: you need to choose a home category and set your VAT tax rules before products can be imported correctly.

How the connection works
The module registers your shop with GOGETTERS using a Prestashop webservice key, so GOGETTERS can create and update products in your shop. Make sure the Prestashop webservice (API) is enabled.
GOGETTERS returns a shared secret to the module. This is used to sign the link between your Prestashop admin and the GOGETTERS portal, so you can open the portal without a separate password.
The module sends new orders from your shop to GOGETTERS so they can be forwarded to the supplier.
If the module shows the error API can't be reached, check that the webservice is enabled and that no firewall blocks external API requests, then try again.
Installation steps
Install the GOGETTERS module in your Prestashop admin.
The module connects your shop to GOGETTERS automatically.
Open the GOGETTERS portal via the module. You are logged in automatically.
Complete the Prestashop settings page (see below).
Fill in your company details and VAT number in the portal. See Company details and VAT number.
Required: home category and VAT tax rules
Before GOGETTERS can import products into a Prestashop store, you must complete the Prestashop settings page in the portal. It has two sections:
Set home category
Choose the root category of your shop. GOGETTERS creates the supplier categories underneath this category. The list is loaded from your own shop; if no categories appear, GOGETTERS cannot fetch them from your shop - in that case, contact support.
Set tax rules for VAT
To show the correct prices in your store, you set the tax rules for the high and the low VAT rate. These rules are taken from your own store; if you don't see the correct rule, fix it in your Prestashop admin first and refresh the page. As the page states: Please set both the rate (e.g. 21 for 21% or 17.5 for 17.5%) and the rule.
Enter the high VAT rate (for example 21) and select the matching tax rule.
Enter the low VAT rate (for example 9) and select the matching tax rule.
Click Save. You are redirected back to the portal dashboard when everything is set.
Why this matters: suppliers deliver products with either a high or a low VAT rate. GOGETTERS uses your tax rules to make sure each imported product gets the right VAT rate and shows the correct price including VAT in your shop.
