This article explains how to install the GOGETTERS app on your Shopify store, what happens during installation, and what the GOGETTERS supplier location in your store is used for.
Installation steps
Open the GOGETTERS app listing in the Shopify App Store.
Click Install. Shopify shows an approval screen listing the permissions the app needs (for example: managing products, inventory, locations, fulfilment and receiving order notifications).
Approve the installation. You are redirected back to your Shopify admin, where the GOGETTERS app opens embedded in your admin.
During installation the app automatically:
Creates the webhooks it needs, so orders from your shop reach GOGETTERS automatically.
Creates your GOGETTERS account, linked to your myshopify.com domain.
Prefills your company details with the address and email from your Shopify store settings. Please check and complete these on the Company details page. See Company details and VAT number.
If the app ever asks you to log in again after a Shopify update, this is normal: the app occasionally needs you to re-approve its permissions when new features require additional access.
The GOGETTERS supplier location
GOGETTERS uses a dedicated location in your Shopify store to manage supplier stock. When you activate a supplier, the app automatically registers a fulfilment service in your store named GOGETTERS followed by the supplier name. The app creates these locations for you, so you never need to create one yourself. The inventory of imported products is tracked at this location, and orders for these products are routed through it so they can be fulfilled by the supplier.
Important: do not delete or rename GOGETTERS locations in your Shopify settings. If the required location is missing, product import cannot start. In that case, or if you see a message about a missing location, please contact GOGETTERS support.
Free plan and subscriptions
New installations start on the free plan. GOGETTERS has a free subscription that you can keep using for as long as you like, and paid plans add more product and supplier slots. You only start paying once you approve a paid plan through Shopify. See Subscriptions and what they include.
