Psychological price rounding

Make every price end in .95 or .99 automatically, per supplier or in bulk from the import list.

Introduction

Prices like €18.95 or €24.99 sell better than €18.62. GOGETTERS can round your prices automatically so every product ends on the cents you choose. There are two ways to do this:

  • A permanent rounding setting per supplier - applied every time a price is calculated.

  • A one-off bulk round-up from the import list in the portal.

How the rounding works

You choose a number of cents between 0 and 100:

  • 95: every price is rounded up to end on .95. Example: €10.20 becomes €10.95; €10.99 becomes €11.95 (we never round down, so the cents move up to the next .95).

  • 99: every price ends on .99.

  • 100: prices are rounded up to whole euros (€10.20 becomes €11.00).

  • 0: no rounding.

Rounding is the very last step of the price calculation, after your margin, VAT and MAP protection. See How GOGETTERS calculates your selling price.

Rounding down (for example always ending on .95 but never increasing the price) is possible too, but only our support team can configure that for you.

Set permanent rounding per supplier (Shopify app)

  1. Go to Suppliers and click Settings on the supplier.

  2. Scroll to the Price settings section.

  3. Fill in Round customer price up to (0-100), for example 95.

  4. Click Save.

In the portal (WooCommerce, Prestashop, CCVShop) you will find the same setting as a slider called Round customer price up to in the Price settings card on the supplier settings page.

Please note: this will not update the prices of products which are already in your import list or in your shop. Click the button Update all product prices on the same page to update those products.

One-off round-up from the import list (portal)

  1. Open the Import list in the portal.

  2. Optional: filter by status or search on title first. The round-up applies to everything that matches your filter, on all pages.

  3. Click the Price settings button to open the panel.

  4. Drag the Round price up to slider to the cents you want.

  5. Click Round prices up for all products on all pages.

Prices that already end on the chosen cents stay the same. Prices with lower cents are rounded up within the same euro (€10.20 → €10.95); prices with higher cents move to the next euro (€10.99 → €11.95). Products already in your store get the status Pending price update and the new price is pushed to your store automatically.

Rounding and advanced price rules

If you use advanced price rules, each rule has its own Rounding field. When a rule with rounding applies to a product, that rounding is used instead of the supplier-wide setting. See Advanced price rules.
