Automatic price updates

Let your store prices follow supplier price changes automatically, with your margin applied.

Introduction

Suppliers change their prices regularly: purchase prices go up or down, recommended retail prices change. With Auto update pricing enabled, GOGETTERS recalculates your selling prices at a regular interval and pushes the new prices to your store - always with your own margin settings applied.

How it works

  1. The supplier updates its price feed (new B2B price and/or SRP).

  2. GOGETTERS imports the new supplier prices.

  3. For every product in your store, we recalculate the selling price using your current settings: margin (or advanced price rules), VAT, MAP protection and rounding. See How GOGETTERS calculates your selling price.

  4. The new price overwrites the price in your store.

So if your margin is 50% and the supplier raises the B2B price from €10.00 to €12.00, your price moves from €18.15 to €21.78 (with 21% VAT) automatically - your profit percentage stays intact.

Turn it on or off

  1. Go to Suppliers and click Settings on the supplier.

  2. Scroll to the Automation section.

  3. Tick or untick Auto update pricing.

  4. Click Save.

The setting works the same in the Shopify app and in the portal (WooCommerce, Prestashop, CCVShop). It is set per supplier, so you can automate one supplier and price another by hand.

When should I enable it?

Enable it if:

  • You price with a margin on the B2B price or SRP and want that margin protected when supplier prices change.

  • You do not want to check supplier price changes manually. Without automatic updates, a supplier price increase silently eats your margin - you keep selling at the old price while paying more.

Leave it off if:

  • You set prices by hand per product. Automatic updates overwrite manual prices. The import list shows this warning when applicable: "At least one of your configurations has pricing updates enabled. Changes made on this page may be overwritten."

  • You run your own promotions or price experiments in your store that GOGETTERS does not know about.

Good to know

  • Prices are updated at a regular interval, together with the other automatic updates for your supplier connection. See How stock and price sync works.

  • Compare-at prices: on Shopify, if automatic pricing is off but your connection is configured to show the SRP as compare-at ("was") price, we still refresh the compare-at price when the supplier's SRP changes - without touching your selling price.

  • B2B price updates: separately from your selling price, the purchase price data itself is refreshed from the supplier feed.
