Product statuses explained

What every product status in the GOGETTERS import list means - from In import list to In shop - and what to do when a product says Not imported.

Every product in your import list has a status that tells you exactly where it is in its lifecycle: waiting in the list, on its way to your shop, live, being updated or being removed. This article explains each status and the most common reasons behind Not imported.

The normal lifecycle

  • In import list - the product is in your import list, but not yet in your store. You can still adjust the price or remove it without it ever touching your shop. See How the import list works.

  • Pending import - you clicked import; the product is queued and will be created in your shop shortly. See Upload products to your store.

  • Awaiting import confirmation - the product has been sent to your shop and we are waiting for the shop to confirm it was created.

  • In shop - the product is live in your store. If you remove it from your import list, it is also removed from your store. See Remove products.

Update statuses

Products that are already in your shop briefly get one of these statuses when something changes; no action is needed:

  • Pending update - a general update (for example stock or product data) is queued for your shop.

  • Pending price update - you changed the price (or a pricing rule did) and the new price will be pushed to your shop.

  • Pending tag update - updated product tags are queued for your shop.

Delete statuses

  • Pending delete - the product is queued to be removed from your shop.

  • Deleting - the removal is in progress.

  • Pending variant delete - a single variant of the product is queued for removal.

  • Pending delete and re-import - the product will be removed and then imported again (used to fix broken products).

Not imported

Not imported means we were unable to import the product into your shop. Hover over the status to see the reason. Common reasons:

  • Importing backorder products is disabled - the product is on backorder at the supplier and Allow backorder products is off in the supplier settings. See Supplier settings explained.

  • Product has less inventory than minimum inventory level set - the stock is below your Minimum inventory level setting.

  • Product unavailable from supplier - the supplier no longer offers this product.

  • Too many variants - the product has more variants than your shop platform supports.

  • Too many failed upload attempts - the upload failed repeatedly; contact support if this keeps happening.

  • Error uploading product - a technical error occurred during the upload. Try importing again, or contact support with the product's SKU.

Good to know: a full product limit does not cause "Not imported". When all product slots are used, new products simply stay in your import list with the status In import list and are imported automatically once slots become available.

After fixing the cause (for example changing a setting or freeing up product slots), select the product and import it again. See Upload products to your store.
