After you select products, they end up in your import list. This is where you manage your products: the ones you have not imported yet, and the ones that are already in your webshop. Here you can filter and check margins, adjust prices, check stock, import products and remove them again. Open it via Import List in the Shopify app navigation, or via the Import list page in the portal.
Products you have not imported yet are not visible in your shop. Once you import a product it stays in this list with the status In shop, and this is also where you remove it again later. See Remove products.
The import list is not a product editor: titles, images and descriptions come from the supplier. What you control here is the price and which products are in your store.
What you see per product
Each row shows:
Product - title, variant options, SKU and EAN.
Cost - your purchase price ("Please note that these prices are excluding VAT").
SRP - "Prices are recommended retail prices from the dropship supplier".
Price - your selling price, calculated from your margin settings. See Supplier settings explained. You can edit it per product right in the list.
Profit - "The profit is calculated as price excluding VAT - cost = profit excluding VAT". If you would sell at a loss, a Loss badge appears.
Stock and Status - the current supplier stock and the product's status. See Product statuses explained.
Why the count can look different in your shop
Each row in the import list is one product variant. A t-shirt in size S and the same t-shirt in size M are two separate rows, each with its own SKU. Your shop usually counts differently: the product overview in your shop admin counts the parent product once, no matter how many variants it has.
So if the import list shows, for example, 592 products with status In shop, but your shop's product overview shows 202, that is expected. The 592 rows are variants, and they belong to roughly 202 parent products. It does not mean products are missing or that the import failed.
To check this for yourself: open one product in your shop and count its variants (sizes, colors, and so on). Multiplied across your catalog, that explains the difference between the two numbers.
Filtering and sorting
Filter the list by Supplier, Category and Status, or search by SKU, EAN or title. Use Sort by to order by Cost, SRP, Price, Profit or Stock (Low to high / High to low) - for example to spot low-margin products quickly.
Filtering on Status is the quickest way to find the products that are already live: filter on In shop.
Adjusting prices
Change the Price field on any row to set your own selling price. In the portal you can also open Price settings to apply a margin or round prices up for all products on all pages at once. Two things to keep in mind:
If Auto update pricing is enabled for a supplier, you see the warning that changes made on this page may be overwritten - automatic pricing recalculates your prices at a regular interval. See Supplier settings explained.
Changing the price of a product that is already In shop sets it to Pending price update; the new price is pushed to your store automatically.
Importing to your shop
Import your entire list with Import all, or tick products and click Import selected. Read more about the import itself, timing and the product limit in our upload article. See Upload products to your store.
Product variants are always linked together in the import list. If you import one variant, the corresponding variants are imported automatically. Would you prefer no variants at all and import every product separately? Contact our customer service to request this.
Products from more suppliers than your plan allows
You can add products from multiple suppliers to your import list. If the list contains products from more suppliers than your subscription allows, the "Choose which suppliers to import" panel appears when you import: "Your import list has products from more suppliers than your plan allows. Choose which suppliers to import below, or upgrade your plan to import products from more suppliers." Tick the supplier(s) you want and click Import selected - or click Upgrade your plan. Watch the country labels: for example vidaXL NL and vidaXL BE look the same but are separate suppliers with separate limits.
My import list stays empty
