Suppliers organize their products in their own category tree, which rarely matches the categories of your webshop. With Category mapping in the GOGETTERS portal you decide, per supplier category, in which of your own store categories the imported products should appear.
This feature is only available for WooCommerce stores.
Open the mapping page
Log in to the portal and open your dashboard.
Click Categories. The Category mapping page opens.
If the page says "No categories found." - "Please activate a supplier first.", activate a supplier before you continue. See Activate a supplier (WooCommerce / Prestashop / CCVShop portal).
Map a category
The table lists every category of your active suppliers:
Find the row with the Supplier category you want to map.
In the Map to column, open the Select a category dropdown and choose one of your own store categories. The mapping is saved automatically.
Want to undo a mapping? Use the Action column to remove it.
From then on, products imported from that supplier category are linked to the store category you selected.
Set up your category mapping first, then import your products. That way the newly imported products get the correct category names right away.
Your store categories are missing or outdated?
The Map to dropdown shows the categories we know from your webshop. If you recently created new categories in your shop, click Reload categories from my store at the top of the page. You will see: "Request successful. Please refresh this page after 10-15 minutes." - the portal then fetches your current category list in the background.
