At GOGETTERS we work with many different suppliers, and each supplier has their own return policy. This article explains how returns work in a dropshipping setup and how to find out what your supplier offers.
Who handles the return?
Your customer bought from your shop, so the customer arranges the return with you, the shop owner.
You bought the product from the supplier as a business (B2B). Suppliers are not legally obliged to accept returns from B2B customers. Some suppliers do offer returns as an extra service.
The GOGETTERS app is the link between your shop and the supplier. The app forwards orders and tracking, but it does not process or handle return shipments.
Check if your supplier accepts returns
Open the GOGETTERS app and go to Suppliers (the Browse suppliers page).
Open the supplier and look at the Shipping information section.
Behind Accepts returns you see Yes or No. When available, extra Information about shipping costs and/or return policies and a Return address are shown as well.
Get the most up-to-date return conditions
Return conditions can change, so we always recommend checking with the supplier directly. You can do this via the supplier's website or by email - the Sales and Support email addresses are listed under Contact information on the supplier's page in the app.
If your supplier does not accept returns
You can choose to accept the return yourself:
Agree the return with your customer and let them ship the product to your own address.
Refund the customer according to your own return policy.
Add the returned product to your own stock and sell it again, for example through your own channels.
