Before you can import a supplier's products into your Shopify store, you activate the supplier in the GOGETTERS app. This article shows you where to do that, what happens next, and what the messages about supplier limits mean.
Activate a supplier
Open the GOGETTERS app in your Shopify admin and click Suppliers in the app navigation. This opens the Browse suppliers page.
Find the supplier you want. Each card shows the number of products, the average delivery time and a badge (One-Click Supplier or Integrated Supplier).
Click View on the supplier card. A panel opens with the supplier's details: contact information, shipping information, whether the supplier accepts returns, and whether selling on marketplaces is allowed.
Click Activate. Some one-click suppliers require approval before you can start selling; for those the button says Request instead. See Suppliers that require approval.
Some suppliers offer their product feed in multiple languages. If so, you first pick a language in the Choose language dialog.
After activating, you see the confirmation "You have successfully activated the supplier." and you are taken straight to the supplier's product overview so you can start adding products to your import list. See Find products to sell.
What happens after activation
The supplier is added to your account with default settings: automatic product updates, automatic ordering and automatic fulfilment are switched on, and products that are discontinued at the supplier are removed from your shop after 7 days. You can change all of this on the supplier's Settings page. See Supplier settings explained.
For integrated suppliers you still need to enter your own account details (username, password or API key) in the supplier settings before imports and orders can run. See Suppliers that need your own account (integrated suppliers).
GOGETTERS creates a separate stock location (fulfilment service) in your Shopify store for the supplier. In rare cases you may see the message "To activate this supplier, a location has to be created in your store. You can still activate the supplier, but product import will not start until GOGETTERS. support has created the location. Please contact GOGETTERS. support." - simply contact support and we will sort it out.
Supplier limit reached?
Your subscription determines how many suppliers you can activate. If the supplier does not fit your plan, a dialog appears: "Please upgrade your subscription" - "To activate this supplier, you need to upgrade your subscription." with a View subscriptions button. You may also see one of these messages:
You have reached the maximum number of integrated suppliers.
You have reached the maximum number of one-click suppliers.
To free up a slot, deactivate a supplier you no longer use. See Deactivate a supplier.
Reactivating a supplier
If you activated a supplier before and deactivated it later, activating it again restores your previous configuration. You will see the message "You have successfully reactived this supplier."
Already active? If you try to activate a supplier that is already active, the app tells you "This supplier is already active." and opens the supplier's products instead.
